Luscious Layers began in Ashley's kitchen, baking for her friends. It was yummy. This was obviously a sign that her baking had the chance to be bigger and better, it just needed a home. She moved to a storefront in Bucktown in 2009 and has since settled happily into the neighborhood.

Ashley's vision for her bakery was to provide beautiful wedding and special event cakes. Her storefront was designed to be a location to hold wedding tastings, as well as offer a small selection of baked goods so customers have the opportunity to sample her product and see what Luscious Layers is all about.

We are a young but growing bakery, with a small staff that consists of two bakers/decorators, one girl sitting up front, a delivery guy and a graphic designer. We pride ourselves on being friendly and enthusiastic, and look forward to working with you to make your cake exactly what you imagined.
